Feminine flirts with Masculine

Lately, I’ve been on this Feminine/Masculine kick. I just love it when a woman wears an outfit that is inspired by menswear but makes it so completely feminine just by choice of cut, fabric and color. This top by Shai Delacroix is relatively old in SL standards but the texture is just beautiful and the soft pinky white sheen is awesome. Shorts are a hot item in fashion now and especially shorts worn in more formal attire and these black Tres Blah shorts were perfect for the outfit. The men’s hat with a long swept up bun marries the feminine/masculine ideal perfectly and Fri.day, in my opinion, makes the best fedora with hair on the grid. This outfit makes me want to go see a great concert and then have some martinis with friends in a downtown restaurant. If I wore this out, I would feel sexy and strong …rawr!!

Rockberry released Kalista II not that long ago and I think the skin is really nice especially the lips and eyes. It was the right makeup for this outfit with a tich of smoky eyes and a lighter lip color.  So, girls don’t be afraid to rock the masculine look cuz honey you aint foolin anyone with your sexy self!!  P.S. All you Photoshop pros out there. I’m still learning .  Every week I get better thanks to my Photoshop Senseis that help me every week!

Ppppoppies are Purrrrfect

So, I continue my love affair with flowers even though we have finally stepped into summer and are well on our way to fall. So what if I’m slow?!

I loved the polyvore I chose to emulate so much when I first saw it that I had to work on it right away! It’s over flowing with red and flowers! What more could you want?! Not a casual look but one I knew I had just the skirt for! Okay, so technically it’s a skirt made of roses but whocares! It’s so close to the original that it doesn’t really matter. And seriously, roses are so much more fitting at any rate! Right?! The skirt is by “BCD” and I dunno who that is so if you do, help a blogger out! I was thrilled to have something so unique and completely appropriate for this outfit!

Also, I flexed a little bit of my photoshop skillz and downloaded a poppies brush! All by myself! So, although you may not be excited by my floating flowers motif, I certainly am and that’s all that matters. /me beams.

As always the look does not have to be exact, but zOMG I wanted that Coach red lips necklace. I looked for something that would work, but alas, no. Designers? Pretty please? Honestly not a huge fan of Coach irl, but I loved this look put together… the oozing red just makes me soft all over!

Things have been a bit crazy lately so I’m sorry if I dont have much to say this time around.  For others you might be glad I don’t have much to say.   

I didn’t really want to use any of my own products for posting on here but I couldn’t find the earrings anyplace else.  I haven’t released the earrings yet (I will this weekend) but I went ahead and made them in a ton of colours since I needed yellow ones for this post.

Nerd Rocks the College

I like nerds. They rock. They are funny and self deprecating and smarter than all of us and  are usually the hidden gems in a sea of normality. I also love it when girls rock the male look but still retain their feminity and spunk. I tried to achieve all of this. Did I succeed? Probs not but heck it was fun! LOL

I CANNOT BELIEVE IT’S ALMOST FALL. Right?? Well on this day I went to Depaul University’s sim and it was so nice I have to say. The build is awesome and you can even ride horseback around the campus. I guess i’ll go find some sorority to go do kegstands with this weekend. My fav part of this outfit is the Miel glasses with the tape on the nose bridge. It’s so cute. Also, the Coco Oxfords are so yummy cute. I’m also a fan of this Pulchra skin from Baiastice. It’s soft and pretty which helped to counteract my dude wear. It  says, ” hey I might be wearing suspenders but i’m a girl dammit! “

Here I am sitting on a bench at Depaul University sim taking a break between classes. I wonder where the parties are this weekend. Maybe there’s a good band playing somewhere. Wow, I could get used to being away from home….wicked laugh. My suspenders are from League and they work really well with most pants. I highly recommend them!

Flower Power

I’m finding this year there is nothing more I love than flowers. When did I become such a girly girl? Flowers show up again and again in my rl and sl ensembles. I also love pairing up blues and yellows which was why this particular polyvore caught my eye. This is probably the least I’ve shopped for an actual polyvore outfit… everything show I already have in inventory except for the jeans. 

Ahhhh… The dog days of Summer

This outfit came together so fast. I was looking through Polyvore and found one with these cute jeans and I thought OMG! I have jeans just like that from Adiva. It was serendipity and, of course, then I saw the hair with the bandanna and once again Antonia Marat of Artilleri came to the rescue with this adorable hair that comes with the bandanna and lots of textures to pick from. My rocking chair is from Awesome Blossom fellow Paperdollz mate Clementine Ishtari. It has the cutest anims on it and fits perfectly on anyone’s porch. Yes this is my house too from Molto Bene (Yay Annunziata) and I’m sure you’ll see more of it in future blog posts.  I could just sit here all day sipping sweet tea and thinking up lyrics for my next song. It’s very peaceful here.  Adiva has more really cute stuff and be sure to go there and check it out. The store is huge but if you just take your time you will find some really cute stuff ranging from urban sexy to soft and sweet to hippie chic.This outfit really is a mix of old and new.  Thanks to Polyvore for giving me some inspiration!
